In 1620, the famous \"May
flower \"shipped the 102 pilgrims who could not tolerate
religious persecution in the United Kingdom to America. In the
winter of 1620 and 1621 they met the unimaginable difficulties,
and they were suffer hunger and cold. After the winter, only 50
people were left to live. Based on the beliefs and customs of “the visitor is a guest”, the Indians gave these immigrants the
necessities of life and taught them to hunt, catch fish and grow
corn, pumpkin and so on. With the help of the Indians, the new
immigrants have gradually become accustomed to the local way of life. On the occasion of celebrating a bumper harvest, the new immigrants from Europe invited the Indians to thank God for their gifts.

Thank you for
your listening

The meaning of Thanksgiving Days
